I don't know how to put this, but..I'm kind of a big deal.

Out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about. Ideas, language, even the phrase 'each other' doesn't make any sense. -Rumi

have you applied to Cooper Union? I have always wanted to go myself - ever since i was in the 11th grade. My father told me the same spchelle also about having a well rounded job and whatnot - he wants me to become an architect.. i could.. i love math.. but not as much as my art. Talk to me!
:iconradiolies:
My god...i've thought about cooper's union...because isn't it always a full ride there? Something ridiculous like that. It's super hard to get in to. I also don't know if i want to move back east. I'm loving California. But, I guess if i got a full ride somewhere...i'd fucking do it. How old are you? Where are you at with your life right now? I just literally got back from visiting Cal Arts campus. It's where Tim Burton graduated...it's an amazing school and the facilities are great. The style of teaching is focused more on developing the artist's style and who they are rather than their technique. It is the Dead Poet's Society of art schools, which i love, and would kill to go to. It's also 27,000 dollars a year...a price i'd struggle to find a way to take care of..even with loans and financial aid. Who wants loans that big????? I'm going to check out your stuff now...

the stuff i have on here .. isnt that great - its alot of maybes, what ifs, and school assigments. I enjoy them as much as the next self-hypocritical artist would! Ill be putting alot more up after xmas. I have a giant specialization review this janruary 7th - eek! I have to present all my stuff since i began school here ( Winthrop University). Its the farthest i could go with in-state tuition and their art programe is bad-ass for what it is. One of my proffessors taught at the Royal Academy of Arts London - hes super kewl.
Yeah! Copper Union is a full ride, totally! Ive been looking at some kids on here who are either in Cooper or have been admitted. Some of them, i dont know how they got in! Im not so much attracted to the work. The concepts are interesting. ALthough, okay.. so there is alot of work im envious of.. the handling of the media and imagry, space.. etc. GOD i want to go there soooo badly!
Okay, im 20 as of last septemeber.. so im just learning the ways of the 20 year olds. This is my 3rd year doing the college thing and i have no clue what to expect. My roomate was going to go to Cal arts, and her sister in law dropped out of there along with Chicago art institute - she just wasnt feelin the college thing. I went to California once, i liked it, but i dont think i could live there.. i like my east coast and I HAVE TO GO TO NY!!! Its in my blood.. or something. Yeah. keep in touch!
:iconradiolies:
Good luck on your review!!!
I can tell from the stuff that is good of yours that you are talented. I look forward to seeing some of your new stuff...same with me...it's going to be after the holidays that i start posting stuff again. It has been awhile for me. I don't have a scanner at home and i don't work with digital so it takes a while for me to get the time to put it on the computer. I really want to get my paintings on here. So little time~!!! I looked at the Cal Arts campus...it was really amazing. I like what they're about there. It's also 27,000 dollars a year so who knows. I don't think i feel like dishing that out every year. Even with scholarship and financial aid...it won't be much different. Cooper's union is a dream, right??? I would give almost anything....ugh. How were you looking at work from people that got accepted there?

-Sarah
:iconins0mniarchaic:
Yeah, alot of te stuff on here is like.. class asignment and rants and whatnot. Or moc-ups. I will be getting the refined stuff and review stuff up after the holidays. IM looking at Cooper students stuff because i have a friend who is a subscriber and she can look for people with spesific details - like those who matriculate at the Union. Thanks so much for the good luck on the review.. ive got some paintings to work on for that - i shall complete!! i like the word stuff it seems. OH yeah!! i heard cal-arts is fabulous!!! And in wish cooper was over in Cali - where its warm! Eek!! IM going to be in 3 studio classes this coming semester, so ill definitly have alot of work to show, and exhaustion - but - im ready for it and i dont sleep much anyhow. What would you be pursuing at cooper or cal-arts if/when you get accpeted? I have 2 more years-ish if that in getting my BFA in Fine Arts/Painting and Sculpture. I want to pursue Architecture when i get into grad and whatnot. I pay about 40,000 to go to the school im in now. Its nothing Presteige - yet. But its getting there. Were expanding tremendously!!!! The campus used to be a middle sized all female college back in the 1800s, now its co-ed (otherwise i wouldnt be going there) and widely excentuated in Education (best in the south east and most possibly the east coast.. thats what the book tells me atleast). Get this, the art. dept is getting a high rise in about 5 years... not fair, i wont be here to experence it. Hopefully though ill be in Cooper by then. Id give anything (except my soul.. well.. id give parts of it) to go there too!!!!!!! OMG!! i want to go so badly!
